Stella Shaw is the Eighth District’s regional director-coordinator of field operations for Missouri Project Victory 2006, heading the southeast region, which includes Howell County. The Cape Girardeau office is one of seven regional offices across Missouri, created by the Missouri Democratic Party to help coordinate Democratic activities and elect Claire McCaskill to the United State Senate in 2006. The offices will assist Democrats in their respective counties to make phone calls, knock on doors, host house parties, along with other unified efforts to help elect our candidates.

Stella has already made two visits to Howell County and will work closely with our organizational directors to achieve all of our goals. She helped coordinate successful Democratic campaigns in Virginia and Ohio, and we are excited about the resources she brings.

At the request of Missouri Democratic Party chairperson, Roger Wilson, the Howell County Democratic Committee and the Howell County Democrats Club have formed a committee of directors to carry out effective election campaigns in 2006 and 2008. These directors will cover such areas as communications, publicity, telephoning and canvassing, research, letters to the editor and placement of signs around the county.

As director of communications, Carol McInnis will coordinate these efforts and act as liaison between Howell County and the MDP.
